NICAS - Climbing - Level 2

NICAS - Climbing

Give your child the perfect start in climbing with our two-day NICAS Level 2 Climbing course at The Mill Adventure Base. This beginner friendly course is ideal for young people aged 8-16.  This course introduces roped climbing, safety awareness, belaying and basic climbing techniques.

Participants will enjoy a mix of practical climbing, belaying, technique and safety awareness on our indoor and outdoor climbing walls. All learners will receive regular feedback, plus a certificate and logbook included in the course price.

This level is a key stage in a climber’s development. It is designed to correspond to most climbing centres’ membership standards. A Level 2 holder should be a potentially independent top rope climber and boulderer. They have mastered the basics of climbing on an artificial climbing structure and should be able to climb and boulder safely and, if appropriate, independently.

Learn Skills

From new climber to advanced, NICAS Climbing provides progressive skill development with clear goals and achievements.

Keep Safe

Enhanced safety awareness and responsible climbing practices are learnt from the start.

Quality Coaching

Qualified, well-trained coaches provide an engaging, safe and fun learning experience.
