Visit Leader - Specialist Courses

The Visit Leader DofE training is for colleagues who lead, or plan to lead, DofE visits off-site with groups of young people; whether self-led or in collaboration with an AAP (DofE Approved Activity Provider).

This is a practically based course, which deals with active risk assessment and allows the sharing of best practice together with opportunities to raise issues directly related to your setting.

Course Aims:

  • Develop an understanding of National Guidance and local approval systems for school visits directly relevant to DofE Expeditions
  • Develop an understanding of good practice on educational visits with a particular emphasis on expeditions and training for them.

The course will be based at The Mill Adventure Base in Sutton-in-Ashfield and a lunch buffet will be provided.
