JAS Awards - Individual
Registration for the JAS Award Scheme
The JAS Awards are a progressive learning programme for young people which are designed to recognise wider achievement.
There are four sections to the award, and come in three levels - White, Green and Gold:
My Interests - this could be a hobby you enjoy and increasing your knowledge and/or ability. For example: learning a musical instrument or foreign language, research history of your favourite sportsperson or team.
Get Active, Stay Active - This is about doing regular physical activity. You could use your daily exercise for this. For example: walking, running or cycling.
Me and My World - get involved in your local community, helping with things you care about. For example: maintaining a garden, growing vegetables, creating animal/ insect habitats.
Adventure - this should be an outdoor challenge where you work as part of a team with other young people. For example: camping in your garden with brothers & sisters & setting each other team tasks.

The JAS award is progressive, with increasing commitment, learning and challenge, though it is possible to start at any level should it be practical.
