EVC Refresher - Online Training Course

EVC Refresher - Online Training Course

EVC Refresher - Online Training Course

This course provides key updates on the content of the Visits Guidance document April 2018.

In every local authority school and Children, Families and Cultural Services (CFCS) establishment, there must be a trained Visits Coordinator (EVC). It is good practice to revisit this training by attending an EVC refresher training event every three years.

Course objectives

  • provide guidance and policy updates for EVCs,
  • develop ideas on managing routine and non-routine events,
  • consider risk management procedures across a range of activities,
  • provides direct support to EVCs in configuring and operating procedures using EVOLVE,
  • provides an opportunity to learn from other EVCs and problem solve issues with an outdoor education advisor.

Attending this course contributes to ongoing personal development, helping to improve visits management procedures in schools and other CFCS settings.
