Home Education Robin Hood Orienteering Day 9th October 2024

Home Education Robin Hood Orienteering Day 9th October 2024

Come and spend the day in the heart of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood. Outlaws were brilliant at navigating the forest so come and learn about orienteering, map skills and head off into the forest for an orienteering adventure. Can you complete the course in the fastest time and navigate the pathways Robin and his Outlaws trod years ago?

There will be two courses on this day, both Star Orienteering courses. (You will return to an origin point each time for new maps)

A smaller course around the Visitors Centre and green area which is suitable for all. There will then be a larger course which uses more of the Forest which will require adults to accompany their children. This course can be adapted for younger children by completing the course as a complete walk, without returning to the origin point to collect a new map each time.
