Join us at Brackenhurst for an exciting day focused on where our food comes from. Learn about sustainable farming, see how Brackenhurst farms ethically to protect our planet and also take part in food making activities.

 

You will get chance to make cheese and press apples to make apple juice whilst finding out about what happens to the waste products from food production.  Explore the farm yard, stables and behind the scenes of this amazing working campus and understand how farming feeds the nation and why it is important to look ahead to the future and farm in a responsible way.

 

15 spaces available.

 

One free adult space allocated per child.

 

Arrive for 10am and the day will end at 2.30pm. NO ARRIVALS BEFORE 9.45AM.

 

Parking is available at the Equine Unit and a member of staff will direct you upon arrival.

Suitable for 6 years plus.

 

IMPORTANT! pregnant adults may be restricted on certain areas for their own safety, please let us know if this may affect you.

 

Waterproof footwear is ESSENTIAL due to farm regulations and footbaths used. If incorrect footwear is worn, this will restrict your access to certain parts of the day.

 

£8.50 per child which includes the cost of the food making resources.
