Home Education Day Robin Hood Orienteering 2023

Come and spend a day in the heart of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood. Outlaws were brilliant at navigating the forest so come and learn about orienteering, map skills and head off into the forest for an orienteering adventure. Can you complete the course in the fastest time to claim the prize- a bag of the Sheriffs gold and an Orienteering Certificate for your efforts!

There will be two courses on this day, one a star orienteering course (You will return to an origin point each time for a new check point) and one larger course where you decide the best way to complete the check points on the course map.

The smaller course is around the Visitors Centre and green area. This will be in the morning session and will follow with a “Make your own compass” session before lunch.
