Home Education Anglo-Saxon Day at Perlethorpe 2024
Based at our Anglo-Saxon House on the fringes of the Danelaw, your pupils will be transported back to the time when the whisperings of a united England were being spoken by King Alfred. Discover the events of the Saxon invaders and how they settled across the country, through to the fall of the Anglo-Saxons in 1066. Learn about their gods, important leaders, Viking invaders, Danelaw and Wessex village life.
Your child will take part in an archaeological dig and complete a rune orienteering course as part of the day.
15 spaces. Suitable for ages 6 and upwards. Unfortunately, this day is not suitable for pushchairs or children under 6.
One adult place FREE per booking. A this space will be allocated automatically.
£9.50 per child space. Tickets are non- refundable.
Please bring your own lunches and refreshments.
Start time 10am at Perlethorpe Environmental Education Centre, NG22 9EQ. End time 2.30pm
Parking is available at the education centre and our Notts Outdoors Tutor will be there to welcome you. You will be sent an information email the week of the session with further instructions on parking and location.
Please bring suitable clothing for the day and be prepared for wet weather. Waterproof footwear and flat shoes are advised due to the nature of the site.
This day may be cancelled at short notice in the case of adverse weather. We will refund ticket cost if Notts Outdoors cancels the day.
