Home Education - Romans of Bestwood Country Park 23rd April 2025

Join us for a journey back in time to Roman Britain and Boudica was ruler of the Inceni tribe! The day includes:

  • Introducation to the Celts and the timeline of the Roman Invasion of Britain.
  • Demonstration of the armour worn by Roman Centurions and Legionaries.
  • Weapons training as the soliders prepare to battle Boudica.
  • Can the soldiers make the testudo formation?
  • Other activities as time allows.

10.am - 2.30pm Lunch will be 12.00 - 12.30pm.

15 Spaces at £11.00.

  • Please bring your own packed lunch.

  • Parking: There is free parking available at the top of the drive, however, space is limited. There is a large car park at the bottom of the drive which is a twenty-minute walk away from the classroom.
  • You will be sent further information about the day a few days before the session.

The minimum age is 6 yrs old. You will be allocated ONE adult space per booking. Please do not bring any additional adults unless prior arranged with the Notts Outdoors team and these spaces will only be allocated for medical or SEN needs.

We allow assistance dogs or guide dogs on the day but sadly no family pets.

Please note tickets are non-refundable. Should we need to cancel the day due to bad weather, will will notify you as soon as possible and a refund in this case will be given.
